Nothing beats the feeling of passing your driving test, the freedom of the open road. We live in a pretty epic city where there is always something going on, we’ve compiled a list of the top 5 things your should do in Liverpool when you pass your test! If you have any suggestions then send them in to us!
- Route 66 Drive in cinema!
You can’t beat a good night out to the cinema, it’s even better when you don’t have to get out the car and can get a pizza delivered through the window! Route66 is pretty central just off the dock road in Liverpool and can be a pretty cheap night out for you and your mates, throw in a pizza and it’s the perfect thing to do on a week night after work/school/uni!
- Shopping, via the motorway!
There’s ton’s of great shopping in Liverpool, there’s Liverpool one, St Johns, Met Quarter, but everyone’s been to town before, why not get some motorway driving on the way to Aintree retail park or Speke retail park, both are situated either end of the M57 and really easy to get to, with some great shops, perfect for a nice afternoon out without going as far as Ikea warrington or the Trafford center.
- At the car wash (sing it with me now)
We all know the words, once you get your first car your going to need to keep it clean, there are several great hand car wash’s about so we’re spoilt for choice, personally the Hen & Chicken’s car wash just outside Kirkby do a great job with our cars!
- Formby Pine Woods
Ok it might not strictly be Liverpool, but dare say everyone has been to Formby pine woods as a kid, why not go for a walk around the pinewoods and settle down for a BBQ on the beach, make sure you take your rubbish with you though and keep £5 or so for parking – it’s a little expensive to park there but mainly double yellow lines outside.
- Drive Thru!
Nothing beats your first drive though, Mcdonalds, KFC, Burger king (if you fancy a trip to St Helens), or even starbucks or 24 hour chippy in Formby, it doesn’t matter where you go or who you go with, a successful drive thru trip can test your skills, making sure you can think of your order, not hitting the kerb, the ultimate test, getting close enough to pay without banging your wing mirror!
