Diego's Quick Q&A

Why did you become a driving instructor?
I believe that anyone can reach their goals in life, no matter where they start from - it just takes determination and taking things one step at a time. This belief has led me to my psychology career, learning about how people think and learn. My interest in helping others grow, combined with my commitment to road safety, has naturally brought me to my work as a driving instructor. In this role, I use my understanding of how people learn to help others become safe, confident, and capable drivers.

What’s the best part of your job?
The best part about being a driving instructor is seeing the change in students who start out feeling nervous and unsure. Watching them grow in confidence and skill behind the wheel, and knowing that they’re becoming safe drivers, is incredibly rewarding.

What’s the worst part of your job?
No driving instructor likes cancellations because that’s how we earn our living. It’s also unpleasant when, though rare, we encounter a student who lacks manners or shows disrespect. With the latter, I maintain a zero-tolerance policy.

What is your favorite area of teaching?
I provide driving lessons in and around Kirkby, Melling, Maghull, Ormskirk.

How old were you when you passed your driving test and how many attempts?
23 and first time. I still remember the day of the driving test, my left leg shaking like a leaf when I first pressed the clutch . Thankfully, I quickly got my act together!

Favourite holiday?
Anywhere! spending unforgettable moments with my family.

Favourite food?
There is nothing better than going out to for tapas on the streets of Madrid.
