We are The Driving Academy

and you can read all about us here.

We are a family run business founded in 2003. We have a simple business method, great driving lessons at affordable prices, using only the best driving instructors in quality, fully insured dual controlled cars.

About US

Since 2003 we have gone from strength to strength, originally with a fleet of black cars wearing our pink and yellow branding we updated in 2009 for a black and orange scheme before updating again in 2014 to our green colour scheme whilst bringing back our original logo, modernized for our new look. The logo was originally designed in the 1980’s when Peter first qualified as a driving instructor, we used the logo when we first opened in 2003 and Scott redesigned the logo in 2014, giving it a modern, colorfull look.

When we say family run we truly mean it, Mae runs the office whilst Peter and Stuart are driving instructors, Scott looks after the website and marketing of the company and between Scott & Stuart the cars are also looked after, with most maintenance being outsourced to local, professional  garages. The roofsigns, magentics and car stickers are all done in house with our own sticker machine whilst printed vinyl is sourced from local suppliers. We try to keep as local as we can and try to support other small local business’.

We originally started in Walton and we were quickly able to cover the whole of Liverpool, since then not much has changed apart from also covering Formby, Ormskirk and Southport with the occasional driving lessons also in Skelmersdale.

We love our appearance and everything you will receive from us is professionally printed, from business cards to gift vouchers and greetings cards, nothing is worse than receiving a cheap looking gift voucher to give as a gift to someone.

The Future

We want to be the best driving school around, we want to hold onto the great instructors we have and keep our reputation high. We would rather have a small amount of great instructors with a great name than a large driving school with a rubbish name, of course we want to grow, but we want to do it in a way that secures our long term future!
